Econ Ministry says Russia’s GDP growth speeds up to 1.5% in Feb
MOSCOW, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth has accelerated to 1.5% in February from 0.7% in January demonstrating better than expected dynamics with industrial production being the key contributor, the Economic Development Ministry said in a report on Thursday.
Economic activity in the retail industry recovered after a slowdown seen in January.
The annual growth dynamics of the construction industry was close to zero in January. The transport industry advanced at a slower pace of 1.7% in February as compared with the 2.4% seen in January.
